Sometimes the best things in life are the unexpected adventures that you find yourself on. Morgan and I often take time in between events to explore new places. Although Morgan is a working dog, she will always be a dog first. It is important that she has breaks and has fun when she can. Having been on the road for over two years as Silent Sidekicks Traveling Team, we have been able to see some of the most beautiful places in the USA and Canada. It seems rare now to have a place that Morgan hasn’t visited and made new friends.
Last week, we had a few hours in between events and had the opportunity to take a small detour to Bar Harbor, Maine. The area is usually busy with activity and packed with tourists. On this Fall day, we were able to walk the Shore Path with just a few tourists, who were visiting from Denmark. Morgan was amazed by the waves crashing onto the rocks and seemed to have an even bigger smile than usual. Remember to always take time out of your busy day for yourself and your dog. Breathe in the air, go for a walk, and smile.
